If you are currently planning your wedding then you will have realised just how much goes into this one day, and how much there is that you need to think about! Not only do you have to think about your venue, decorations, entertainment and food, but there’s also the topic of outfits, not just for the bride and groom, but for the whole wedding party. We have put together some of our practical tips to help you ensure that you have this part covered.

Bridal dress

So, this is probably the most important outfit of the wedding, and let’s face it, who doesn’t love going to look for a wedding dress! The wedding dress that you choose to have on your special day will depend on a few important factors. The most important being your personal taste, there are so many different styles of wedding dress out there, that you really can have anything you’d like. If your budget allows it, you could also look at having one made personally for you. This will of course be a lot more money than just choosing one off the highstreet or a bridal shop, but it means that you can tailor it to your personal preferences and it will also be made for you, so it will fit you perfectly and won’t need to be altered.

If you are going to look at getting one from either a bridal shop or off the high street, just remember to think about what you would like. Think about the length of dress that you would like, or you may want to opt for a wedding dress that can be made shorter and fastened up for the evening part of the day. This is a great way to get your money’s worth from the dress and essentially have two dresses in one!

Bridesmaid dresses

These are probably the second most important outfits that you will need to think about for your wedding day, as you will want to ensure that your bridesmaids are wearing dresses that match and tie in with the bride’s dress. If you have a particular theme for your day, you might choose bridesmaids dresses to tie in with this, but make sure that you choose something that will suit a mixture of body types. If this can’t be done, then perhaps look at incorporating a specific colour so that you can choose a variety of dresses that all match.

Although you might have a specific theme for your day, try to make sure that you get dresses that your bridesmaids will be happy to wear! It’s a good idea to get a dress that can also be worn again, that way, you will be getting your money’s worth out of the outfit. There are plenty of online retailers or high street retailers that provide beautiful maxi dresses that can be both a formal dress and a bridesmaid dress.

Grooms suit

The Groom’s suit is another really important outfit that you will need to think about for your special day. It’s a good idea to visit a tailor who can help you find the perfect suit to fit you, and will also offer advice on matching accessories as well. This is perfect for any grooms who haven’t got a clue where to start with shopping for their day. Many of these companies will also be able to provide the best men’s suits as well, so you can make sure that you all look the same on the day. It’s always nice to have all of the best men in matching suits.

Mother of the bride

The mother of the bride’s outfit is something that is equally as important as the bridesmaids dresses and can also be accommodated for at most bridal shops. Think about what style of dress you’d like your mother to be wearing on your day. A lot of mothers of the bride enjoy going shopping to get their outfit, and also matching it with the perfect accessory! A statement hat is usually one of the most popular accessories that most choose. Make sure that it’s not something too big that will take away attention from the bride though!
