If you are looking for a fun way to fight the cold this winter, why not enjoy one of the many delicious winter cocktails that are being served in bars around your area or, indeed, make them yourself?
We have put together a list of the five best winter cocktails that you may not have heard of before. Take a look below…
- The Peppered KumquatÂ
This unique cocktail features a mix of Gin, Kumquat, Pistachios, and Black Pepper. The standout ingredient in this drink is kumquat, which is a winter fruit with a sweet skin and tart flesh. It is in season at present, so there is no better time to enjoy this fruit. You will want to get your hands on some large gin glasses so that you can serve this cocktail in style. It is bound to impress any guests that you have over at your home during the winter months.
- The Cucumber Cooler
Next, on the list of tasty winter cocktails is the Cucumber Cooler. This cocktail contains Aged Rum, Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc, and Cucumber. It’s a unique and refreshing blend. It has a very fresh and luxurious feel to it. Simple but effective. If you’re someone who doesn’t like your cocktails to contain a plethora of ingredients, this is the choice for you.
- The Horchata
The Horchata is a drink we sourced from a Mexican restaurant, and it is not only tasty but it is full of goodness too, as it boasts high levels of both potassium and iron. But, what is actually in the cocktail? It is a blend of Rice, Almonds, Cinnamon, Sugar, and Vanilla. As you can see, this is a non-alcoholic cocktail and so is a great alternative for those keeping off the booze. Nonetheless, if you want a bit of a kick it works beautifully with rum, so simply add a dash.Â
- The Coffee Cocktail
Are you a self-confessed coffee addict? If so, this Coffee Cocktail is certainly one that you will love. Yes, Espresso Martinis are great, but why not switch it up a bit with something different? The use of Rye Cognac will certainly warm your stomach. It is teamed with Black Cow Vodka, Port Wine, Vanilla, Egg, and Nutmeg. Nutmeg is of course a spice that surges in popularity during the winter period and is often associated with Christmas, thus it is the perfect way to finish off this Coffee Cocktail drink.Â
- The Fog Cutter CocktailÂ
This is a drink that we sourced via a restaurant all of the way over in Hong Kong, called Blue Butcher. The bar has won awards for its inventive cocktails. The Fog Cutter is one that they have created especially with the winter period in mind. It is made with Cachaça, Cognac, Borrion Banana Puree, Orgeat, Lime and Crème Fraiche.Â
So there you have it – try the best bars and the best restaurants for delicious winter cocktails!
