Hello I’m Catie,
I am a 40 something Expat mum, wife and teacher. I was born in Middlesbrough in the Northeast of England but since 2005 I have lived in Holland with my Dutch husband.
We have two boys (born in July 2006, and February 2009) they are mad about computer games and animals and are bilingual. We also have a dog, a very spoiled Beagle cross called Nova. I work part-time in an international school teaching children English.
My eldest son has autism. Through my blog I hope to introduce people to my gorgeous boy and the family behind the diagnosis and to promote a better understanding and acceptance of autism.

I do not make the perfect crafts, cakes or always get things right but here I am warts and all, with my craft kits and recipe boxes, trying my best to make life fun for my kids!
I am always looking for ways to inject more quality time into our busy family lives. We love nothing more than playing board games together, walking at the beach or woods or enjoying a family day out. Or failing that you will find me sitting on the sofa, with my laptop on my knee and a large bailey’s on ice!
