Buying a caravan or motorhome from Wandahome

*Ad-Paid. All opinions are my own.

With the current state of the world and the changes to the world going forward in the next few years, it has become more and more apparent that staycations in the UK are likely going to be the way forward, at least for the foreseeable future.

Now, there are lots of different options for staycations in the UK, whether you simply stay at home and go for days out or choose to stay around the UK on holiday sites or camping grounds. However, the idea of one night, let alone a week or two, in a tent does NOT appeal to a lot of people, but what if instead of a tent you had a caravan or motorhome purchased from a retailer like Wandahome, for example? Personally, I love the idea of buying a motorhome!

With over 70 years of experience in the caravan and motorhome industry, Wandahome, South Cave, are based in Yorkshire and are one of the UK’s network of caravan and motorhome retailers who supply Bailey of Bristol motorhomes alongside other manufacturers such as Swift and Coachman.

There are so many benefits to buying a motorhome of your own. Once you have purchased your motorhome, you have your own self-contained hotel on wheels with your own kitchen and washroom – no need to share facilities with anyone else! Another benefit is that if you suddenly decide you want to go away for a few days then you simply have to pack your bag and go. No need to book flights, change your currency or worry if you have your passport in date.

One of the most important aspects of any caravan or motorhome is the layout: making sure that everything is accessible but still feels roomy and comfortable at the same time. The best thing is that with the range of caravans and motorhomes on offer, you’ll be able to find a layout that is perfect for you and your family and their needs.

My personal favourite motorhome is the Bailey Adamo 69-4, a 4 berth motorhome that’s perfect for holidays away with the family. The layout features an electric drop-down double bed and a second double bed that can be made up underneath it from the lounge seats, a kitchen with a Thetford combined oven, grill and hob and a bathroom complete with sink, toilet and shower cubicle. I especially like the rear “garage”, which has enough storage space for two bikes and is accessible from outside.

When buying a motorhome, it’s important to consider the difference between berth number and travel seat number. Berth means the number of sleeping spaces the motorhome has, whereas travel seats means the number of seats with seatbelts the vehicle has. Motorhomes can have different numbers of berths and travel seats, so always check.

So where can you purchase a Bailey Adamo or any other Bailey motorhome from? There are Bailey Retailers all across the UK – for example in Yorkshire you can find Wandahome (South Cave)

Established in 1951, Wandahome Yorkshire first opened on Stanningley Road, Leeds and over 60 years later, Wandahome in South Cave is one of the most successful caravan retailers in the country.

With easy access from East and West Yorkshire, Wandahome at South Cave offers both new and preowned caravans and motorhomes along with servicing and accessories.

Quality customer service is important to Wandahome and they employ a staff of 50 to offer a complete service to their customers to be Yorkshire’s one-stop-shop for all camping needs.

If you are not in the Yorkshire area, you can also find other Retailers who sell Bailey caravans and motorhomes by using their Find A Retailer section on the Bailey website.

If you are not quite ready to visit a Retailer or are unable to because of Covid restrictions, you can take 360 virtual tours of all the current Bailey caravan and motorhome ranges on the Bailey of Bristol website using their Caravan Virtual Showroom and Motorhome Virtual Showroom.

If I’ve tempted you to think about a caravan or motorhome holiday, you can find out more on the Bailey News and Events page for holiday inspiration, new product information and posts from people who already go Bailey!

I think staycations are definitely the way to go!
