Time for LIFT-OFF – Thunderbirds are Go Giveaway!

Something a lot of you may not know about me is that from the age of seven until I was about fourteen or fifteen I was a baton twirler. A majorette. I used to train three times a week and then go off with my team and compete at big International competitions. It was really hard work but a lot of fun too. Now, one of the routines we used to do was an eight minute routine with flags and hoops called an M&M (a military march) which was a very serious routine. There was always a uniform and poise inspection before the routine which we were marked on and then we’d have to do the performance, marching with the right foot on the right beat, getting into our correct places in formation and generally doing everything our trainer had taught us in order to win awards. Now, you may be thinking what on earth has this got to do with a Thunderbirds giveaway, well let me tell you. The M&M that sticks out most prominently in my mind is the one we did to music from Thunderbirds – yes there were 12 of us all in matching blue uniforms – sashes, hats and all marching to the beat of the international rescue. As I said, it was really hard work but definitely brings back some fond memories and so Thunderbirds holds a bit of a special place in my heart….

Well, I am teaming up with ITV to celebrate the release of “Thunderbirds are Go: Series 2” with a brilliant giveaway competition. Firstly, here are a few more details about the release…

This re-invention of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s iconic series has been produced using a unique mix of CGI animation and live-action model sets. Showcasing Pukeko Pictures’ and Weta Workshop’s ground-breaking creative and technical excellence, it delivers a whole new level of action-adventure animation for today’s audience, whilst also affectionately paying tribute to the legacy of model locations from the classic series.

The show stars the excellent voice talents of David Graham, who is back playing Parker Lady P’s chauffeur, and the Oscar-nominated actress Rosamund Pike as Lady Penelope.
