Highlights of the Week: #26

It has been a better week this week primarily because my little one is now back to full health and apart from horrible teething is doing really well. However, I now have the dreaded task of calling the doctors and booking her in for her 1 year jabs which we are horrendously overdue on thanks to the virus and chest infection that madam picked up from somewhere and that thankfully did not take up residence in me. It actually looks like everyone in the house is back to being fighting fit almost. Thank goodness as I think it’s time for me to have a little lie down…

1 – Offline: This Friday saw be have a few precious hours to myself. Now that my mum is back to feeling better, her and my sister took my little bubba out for the morning and I had the house to myself to do whatever I chose to do. Obviously I took the chance to catch up on a lot of work and got a huge amount done, but this thankfully means that I actually managed to take a day off this weekend which was much needed and apart from checking on my social media, I did not turn on my lap top once! Thanks mum that was much appreciated!!

2 – Online: So after my ranting session in my “Top Ten Hair Pulling Moments” this week about getting upset because no matter what I did I always seemed to slip down the blogger leader boards, Tots updated and it turns out I went back up 51 places. Tots and I seem to have a major love hate relationship and whilst I am still not back in the top 500, I am grateful for the fact that I actually managed to go up this month!

3 – Offline: We had the opportunity this week for 2 family get-togethers…. they seem to be like buses where you don’t have one for ages and then they all come along at once. Firstly everyone, that’s 8 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler and 1 baby, all gathered together for our Sunday lunch last week which was nice as we haven’t done that for ages and it was the first time the family had all been together since the arrival of my new niece Lily, so of course we had to grab a pic of all the cousins together. Then my now not so baby brother turned 22 on Tuesday so we all came back together for another family meal – yours truly baked and decorated the birthday cake and then promptly forgot to take a picture before it was demolished – bad blogger!!

4 – Online: I started my series “I’m a Blogging Success Because…” on a total whim because I was inspired after a conversation I had had with my fellow tribal bloggers about what made us successful and we all had different ideas. I cannot believe how amazingly it has taken off and this week I am so pleased to be featuring the amazing Vicki from Honest Mum – this lady is a true inspiration to me and not only that but she is so giving with her time, advice and wisdom that it just astounds me. 5 – Offline: Holidays are coming and with that sees me excited by Saturday night TV and watching X Factor and Strictly whilst also slowly collecting and building my lovely Christmas pressie pile! I know it doesn’t sound very rock and roll but I am very happy in my unicorn pjs and electric blanket that you very mum!
