We’re fast approaching that time of year where it will be time to pack our suitcases and jump on a plane to lands faraway. As my lovely little one is not of school age yet I am actually going to wait until September to go abroad as obviously I need to take advantage of the lower prices before she starts school next year. What I’d love more than anything is to book another private villa holiday as we had such a wonderful time last year when we took her away. The ease of basically having a home from home for a week with our own pool and no battle for sunbeds and where we could stroll leisurely out for dinner in the evening was just wonderful. We’ll be joined in September by our cousins as well which I am so excited about and Alyssa will be too when she realises so there will be 7 of us in total. So, I have been looking at Villa-Finder.com to find the perfect family getaway…
In case you haven’t heard of them, Villa-Finder.com started in 2012 and have over 1,000 villas in Bali, Phuket, Samui, Sri Lanka and Mauritius and all are thoroughly inspected before being listed and regularly re-inspected to ensure that the highest level of quality is maintained.
We have always wanted to visit Phuket and it just looks so amazingly calm, peaceful and of course luxurious. What I really liked when looking at Villa-Finder.com is the surprising human touch that comes with booking via their site. Instead of it just being a robotic platform where you do a few clicks and book, each customer is given a Travel Consultant right from their first enquiry. If you need help there is an actual person there every step of the way.
Not only that but they are a hugely ethical company that also likes to give back. For every booking that is made, they plant a new tree in Sumatra, Indonesia. As individual workers and as a company they seem to really care about the environment and giving back and apparently have more steps they’re taking soon.
Another big seller for me about this company is that they seem really family friendly which for me is key. When searching for your holiday you can add a filter to ensure things like;
- Being child friendly
- Within walking distance to the beach
- Eco-friendly
and so many more options too. It is so much easier as a parent to holiday somewhere when you know that it is family friendly and I’m not going to spend the entire time worrying about whether or not she is going to break anything in the property or break herself!
For me, the family villas in Phuket just look amazing and so luxurious and are definitely something I am considering. To be honest, if I show pictures of the villas to the rest of the family, I can’t imagine anyone will be saying no! If I book through Villa-finder.com they actually have a guest services team that can help me sort out airport transfers, day trips out and even an in-villa massage which let’s face it might just be a necessity!
Booking a villa for a holiday means total privacy and a really unique experience. I can tailor the holiday to exactly what we want and with a company like Villa-finder.com I’ll be able to personalise it and really make it a holiday to remember. It might be slightly more expensive than a hotel BUT we will save money on food and beverages as we’ll be able to use local supermarkets and just eat out in the evening rather than spending loads in the pool bar. You should definitely check it out… now excuse me whilst I go and oogle some more villas and possibly book one too!

It never ceases to amaze me how colorful and bright the water and the sky seem to be in these exotic locations. Here in my north Atlantic, we deal in shades of blue-gray and muted greens.
Maybe someday I’ll compare the two in real life!
That looks absolutely fabulous! I’ve always wanted to go to Thailand and that looks a great way to do it đŸ™‚
I’ve visited there in my teens and loved it. I would love to take the kids back soon #ablogginggoodtime
Booking a villa in Phuket sounds dreamy! We went to Phuket last year and absolutely love it, we stayed in a resort though, so next time we visit, we will definitely consider a villa, it makes a lot of sense if you have a bigger group as well! I hope you have an amazing time there #ablogginggoodtime
I was told to visit when I was a student and as so often did not listen so have a regret. Also remember how young people thought it was a funny name. Maybe I will finally make it – one to add to the bucket list! #Ablogginggoodtime
