Do you remember a while ago, before I changed over to my new blog look, I wrote about the horrific experience of “The Day She Almost Died!” about the time Alyssa almost choked to death and I could have lost her. It was an awful experience and one that will stay with me forever, but it did highlight a need for something. It highlighted for me the need to be prepared – to understand first aid for our little ones and be prepared for any incident, big or small, whether that be a grazed knee or heaven forbid something more serious. Especially at a young age, children have no real concept of danger, all they can see is fun, but I am not going to be unprepared any longer. Not only have I taken a baby first aid course to go with my adult one I already had, but our changing bag is now fully equipped to deal with all kinds of problems thanks to our new Daisy First Aid Kit…
I am so pleased to introduce this amazing new product to you, The Daisy First Aid Kit – for all those oopsy daisy moments. This is an amazing compact first aid kit which is light, protected, fits easily into any changing bag and has an amazing 70 pieces inside! Not only do they do First Aid kits but they also do first aid classes too – in your own home, at a dedicated location and even in schools!
“As parents we would do anything to protect our children. If your child had an accident or fell ill would you know what to do? Daisy First Aid passionately believe that every parent should have paediatric first aid training to help protect their children and potentially save their life. Daisy First Aid provides family first aid training in the comfort of your own home or in designated venues throughout the UK. Hosting a Daisy First Aid class at home means you can learn with friends and family in a relaxed environment, on a date and time that suits you. Babies are welcome.”
As I said before, it has become so important to me that people know first aid for their child or any other child so that heaven forbid the worst should happen then they would be prepared to handle that situation – just like my amazing mum was when she saved Alyssa’s life.
Now, Th Daisy First Aid Kit as I said, has an amazing 70 items inside to help you put into practice all your well learnt first aid skills as well as some mummy and daddy ones too! Included you will find:
- Tweezers
- Scissors
- 10 Saline Cleaning Wipes
- 3 Sting Relief Pads
- 1 Pair of Gloves
- 20 Fun Plasters
- 5 Knuckle bandages
- 3 Adhesive Dressings
- 1 Bandage
- 2 Eye Bandages
- 10 Safety Pins
- 1 Instruction Booklet
- 1 CPR Face Shield
- 1 Instant Ice Pack
- 8 Bravery Stickers
- 1 Adhesive Plaster Tape
There is literally something here to help with any situation you may face – and I am amazed it all fits into this case that isn’t much bigger than the size of my hand. My Daisy First Aid Kit is taking up permanent residence in my changing bag and when Alyssa outgrows that bag it will move into my handbag to make trips out with us… I never want to be unprepared again.
If my mum hadn’t been so on the ball I could have lost my little girl and this would be a much sadder and graver story to tell. Don’t find yourself caught short…. grab yourself a Daisy First Aid Kit and while you’re at it, why not get a group of friends together and organise to have a first aid class in your home too. Combine it with a decent cuppa and a slice of cake and then everyone wins… especially your little ones!
