We’ve all had personalised books – they’ve been around for as long as I can remember. I remember that I had one and I think it was a Peter Pan one and I became part of the adventure too. When I was old enough to understand it was really exciting to see your name in print. So, when I was asked if I would take a look at the new personalised books by Bobadeg I agreed but was wondering to myself “What’s going to be different about this that I haven’t seen before?!”
Well, let me tell you! First of all, it is not just the name that personalises these books but also your baby’s face! That’s right, the lovely people at Bobadeg will ask you for their name and a picture of them facing forward and their face will become the main character in one of a number of stories! Forgive the phrase, but how COOL is that? Your child can become a deep-sea diver or a fairy or jump aboard a hot air balloon or fight dragons in many different adventures.
Another lovely touch that these books have is that you can add your own personalised message on the inside making them an extra special gift!
I know you shoudn’t judge a book by it’s cover but these had me loving them right from the start when I opened up the package. There was Alyssa’s beaming face first as a Fairy and then as a Deep Sea Diver… she looked so cute!
Another really nice touch is that there are two different types of book you can order – A Normal adventure where your child becomes the character in the book and goes on an adventure with others OR a Learning Adventure which is for a slightly older age range but does not affect the story at all.
 The way in which the Learning Adventure books differ is that they have an additional page at
the beginning welcoming the star of the books and introducing the character Bobadeg. At the back of the book is a learning page which helps parents guide their children in developing their different skills such as communication and mathematical.
These learning book features are an excellent idea because it makes the books multi-functional. When the children are younger, they are able to simply enjoy the story and delight in the fact that they are the stars of the show. As they get older, they can explore the different activities and with encouragement from adults, engage in the suggested activities.
Overall, I was really impressed with these books and for only £9.99 think these are an absolute bargain and something that people definitely need to get their hands on!
Delivery was fast and another really great point is that they come in packaging that allows them to fit straight through the letter box meaning that you don’t have to wait in for the postman when they are due to arrive!
