One of Alyssa’s favourite toys from Christmas was a baby doll. She seems to really be getting into looking after her and pretending she is a real mummy. She has really taken to it in a way she was never really interested in babies and dolls before. She of course still adores her figurines and loves nothing more than a playset and a platform. Therefore the new Baby Born Surprise Bottle Playset is perfect as it combines dolls and a play platform. Think Polly pocket but bigger! We were fortunate enough to be sent one for review.
New from Zapf the BABY born Surprise Bottle Playset brings back fond memories of Polly Pockets (I had the pink seashell) but slightly bigger like I said. From the outside, the playset looks like a giant, oversized bottle and when you open it up you realise it is in fact a 2 storey baby house with a 3rd floor for “attic storage.” The playset includes:
- Features an exclusive 11cm BABY born Surprise doll with colour change hair, baby bed, play mat and accessories
- Plus, the BABY born Surprise doll can drink water and wet her nappy too
- With a working doll-sized shower
- Her eyes are still closed. To find out their colour, you should gently wipe her eyelids using a damp cloth
The ground floor holds the playroom with baby gym and teddy bear. Opposite is the changing table with powder bottle and brush to get BABY born ready for her day. The top floor features a hanging mobile and bedroom ready for BABY born to snooze the night away. Plus there is a bath with a real working shower where the little doll’s hair will change colour when it comes into contact with iced water. Once you’ve discovered all the baby’s features, you can fill in the birth certificate.
This is a great playset for anyone who was a fan of the little Baby Born Surprise dolls and is a great place to create some imaginary interactive play. It is suitable for ages 3+ due to the small pieces that come with it and obviously you can keep buying lots of extra Baby Born Surprise dolls to go with the playset too.
Alyssa really enjoyed it, it feels strong and sturdy like it is built to last, so if you’re looking for a toy with longevity I’d say this would work well as there is nothing to say you cannot use it with other collectables too. It is really pretty and super girly which suits my little one immensely. It is available from Smyths Toys as well as other retailers and has an RRP of £34.99.
