Lingerie For Curves You Love

Now I don’y know about you, but as soon as I found out I was pregnant I went straight to the giant, over-sized pants and later added in the nursing bras and barely looked back. I was “forced” to give up the nursing bras and revert back to normal ones some time ago, but I have to say I did keep the granny pants. Why would I not? For many years there, there was no one to see them but me and I know some people say that you should wear nice underwear for yourself, but I simply wanted comfort and something that didn’t give me a wedgie. However, now that I have escaped the fog (and obviously am no longer single) it is a really nice idea to have some nice underwear and even some that actually matches! UK Lingerie offered to let me choose some of their gorgeous underwear in exchange for my honest review and with Valentines coming up, it is the perfect time to revamp that underwear drawer for yourself and if your partner happens to approve then that is a bonus!

There is no denying I have a very ample chest, probably more than my fair share unfortunately, but I was pleased to see that UK Lingerie carry sizes from the very small to the very large and the larger sizes are not plain and boring like a lot of places but just as pretty and delicate as the smaller sizes too! Their bottoms only go up to a UK size 26 so if you are plus size, or just prefer a brief that covers your whole bottom then this won’t be a problem. black bra

The website is easy to use and there is lots of choice from individual items to matching sets as well as body and shapewear and nightwear too! If you have had particular brands of lingerie you have liked in the past, you can also search their website by brands which can come in handy when looking for something you know works for you.

I received the Panache Sculptresse Full Cup Bra – I chose this one because I loved the sheer detail at the top. It covers the breasts nicely and feels supportive but at the same time feels quite sexy, so I’d be happy wearing this as an every day bra but also for special occasions too! I also found it had quite wide sides which is great as I was able to pull it right up each side and avoid a fat bulge over the top (those who know just know!)

nude braCovering all the main colour bases, I chose the Playtex Flower Elegance Underwire Bra and Playtex Flower Elegance Midi Brief to go together. This is a shockingly beautiful and delicate bra – shocking because us bigger boobed girls don’t tend to get many pretty bras without having to pay triple of what smaller sizes pay! Wonderbra are known for their comfy and supportive bras, but they also have some beautiful and delightfully feminine designs too. This one is a great example of that. Lacy, feminine and detailed, it has all the trapping of a fashion bra. But it has all the technical brilliance of a classic Playtex, with underwiring and a supportive set of wider straps. It is available in white, nude and black and I’d happily have bought this in all 3 colours.

Finally I got the Panache Sculptresse Chi Chi Balconette Bra in nude as I wanted something that gave me some lift (which is pretty tough without a crane!) and that I could wear all the time because it is in a nude colour. This really fit the bill and wasn’t plain like a t-shirt bra but had nice little details as well as comfort.

Overall, I was really impressed with the service, delivery and the products. I did feel the backs seemed a little tight BUT then all new bras are a little stiff. However, if you are kind of half way between two sizes, I would go for the larger but then it is always a good idea to go and get properly measured too!

So this Valentines, why not treat yourself and re-vamp your lingerie drawer. It really does give you a lift both figuratively and literally!
