Becoming Cinderella – Little Tikes Princess Horse & Carriage Review

Every little girl dreams of becoming a princess one day don’t they? Well, I know I did albeit a little later than most. I used to dream that I’d accidentally meet Harry or Wills and that they’d marry me and I’d be an actual princess –  he chose the wrong Kate!!! ( Actually I really like Middleton so I’ll let him off) Anyway I blame my princess dreams entirely on Disney who disillusioned me right from a small age and continue to do so to this very day. They were very clever as they never disclosed the princesses age so I’m still waiting! It would seem I’ve passed on my love of princesses to my little one who knows all the words to Tangled, Moana and Frozen and adores her dolls of each. So when Little Tikes offered to help make her a real princess with a her very own Ride-On Princess Horse and Carriage, how could I refuse?

Alyssa’s birthday is coming up and what better gift could a little one receive than her very own horse and carriage. We’ve been huge fans of Little Tikes for a long time and already own a few of their toys. When they asked if we’d like to review their gorgeous Princess Horse and Carriage I was ecstatic as we love being in the garden and it really is a gorgeous item.

Fortunately despite the size of it, it does come in just one box and it isn’t too heavy. I will say that it does take quite a while to put together and I only managed to do half of it whilst she wasn’t at home! The first job is getting all the stickers on which actually I dislike the most as I always want it to look perfect! After that it was fairly plain sailing but you do need to look at the instructions rather carefully as I did get a few parts confused and had to go back again. I only got part way through and then enlisted the help of Uncle Petes to finish it off so that I could take a few gorgeous pictures.

Luckily we have had gorgeous weather so I took the opportunity to give her a birthday present a little early and the excitement and pure joy on her face was completely worth it. Take a look for yourselves….

You can see for yourselves how much she loved it! Its the perfect accessory for any outdoor playtime and we even pulled the reins out and took her for a walk down the road with Uncle Petes pulling her along. A little bit of a faff to put together but once done so worth it. She loves the little chest on the back to store stuff in and as a parent I very much appreciate the drinks holders for when we’re walking along. If you have your own little Prince or Princess you should definitely think about grabbing yourselves one of these  – they’ll love you forever… even more!
