Meet: Just Saying Mum

Hi everyone, I’m Helen and am mum to two gorgeous teenage girls and one preteen son (who is gorgeous too of course or should I say handsome!). I write a blog called Justsayingmum which I started after one daughter was signed to a modelling agency in London and, being her chaperone, I sit for literally hours after hours at photoshoots, castings and meetings just waiting and waiting. I’ve always loved to write and loved the whole blogging concept so right there, one day, whilst watching daughter change in to the 50th outfit of the day,  I grabbed my phone, opened the notes page and … well … couldn’t stop.

However, as well as the model (!) I also have a wonderful 12 and 14 year old who just excel with such sheer brilliance at doing what 12 and 14 year olds do so well … being teenagers (or there abouts!) … so my blog is very much about trying to find the humour in raising teenagers … if I didn’t I’d probably cry — humour has to win over tears … surely? See me as the fairy godmother of teenagers … I’ve had enough experience to last me a lifetime … and if I don’t know the answer I’ll know someone who does … trust me!

So, what do I do when I’m not blogging? Well I’m a piano teacher and budding songwriter … oh and a wife to a very handsome man (must be where my son gets it from!)
