Clementoni Robomaker Review
2nd October 2018
I am always on the look out for new brands of plus size fashion to try out. Don’t get me wrong, I have my favourites who I will return to again and again but it is always nice to see another brand being all inclusive. When Pink Clove got in touch and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing some of their clothes, I was excited to see what they have to offer. Check out what I ordered and my review of Pink Clove…

Similar to it’s plus-size competitors, Pink Clove only offer clothing from size 16 upwards to a size 28. If you’re heading there looking for underwear and lingerie I will stop you right there as they currently don’t offer any but don’t let that stop you as there is a lot more that they have to offer.

There is usually a sale on which is worth a browse, free returns, free delivery on orders over £40 AND they also offer student discount which is always good to use when you can! They carry all sorts of items from dresses and tops to knitwear and trousers to coats and shoes…there is a huge range.

With winter coming in, I knew I needed a new coat that would survive the winter with a pre-schooler, keep me warm and still look okay too! So, I chose to order the Faux Fur Navy Hooded Parka. It looked lovely and thick, was a neutral colour, waterproof and a hood is a must when with a young child as it’s unlikely I will be able to hold an umbrella.

Upon arrival, I wasn’t disappointed. This coat was just as thick and soft as it looked in the images, with a smooth navy outer and a soft inside. It has 4 pockets, which I can tell you now, quickly filled up with LOTS of child crap but are still very handy. The fact I didn’t realise until after that it was machine washable was also a bonus. The only thing I will say is that it comes up a little small so do make sure to order a size up if you don’t want it fitted – this coat is only available up to a size 24. For £45.00 I’d say this was about right for a really decent coat that will keep me warm all winter.

As I am dating again, I thought it would also be a good idea to treat myself to a new dress as well to wear out on a date with my other half and this Black Frill Hem Floral Dress really caught my eye. The neckline would be flattering on me, I liked the style and the pattern so chose this one. I have to say with this I was a little disappointed as I don’t think the pictures were a true reflection of the product. I didn’t realise it was going to be a shiny, figure hugging, like spandex, dress which unfortunately did not suit me at all and due to the material type, it also made the dress look purple and not black.

There is nothing wrong with the dress itself, it just wasn’t for me and I would say isn’t for anyone who doesn’t want to show every lump or bump or who doesn’t want to wear giant Bridget pants with it every time. The dress again is only available up to a size 24 and retails for £26.00 which I think is a little bit more than the dress is worth.

Overall, I think the quality of products available at Pink Clove is good but there is definitely room for improvement. For example, they say up to size 28 but if you look closer, there is only a handful of things available in sizes 26 and 28 and most of them are duplicates of the same thing just in a different colour. I think they are pretty much on point price wise with other leading plus style brands but could possibly do with lowering their prices a little until they become a well-known brand. I’d shop again with them for sure but be a bit more careful and taking a closer look at what I am ordering.
Also, purely a personal preference, but I don’t like the fact they have used the same model for every single item on their site. The model is displaying the smallest size they offer so it would be good to have different models showing some of the clothes being worn in different sizes.
