Muddy Puddle Jumping with Chipmunks Footwear

I think it’s a time I looked forward to that was until it actually arrived. I am of course talking about that good old childhood past time… Puddle Jumping. Now made famous by the ever irritating Peppa Pig (who thankfully has never made an appearance in this house) children simply can’t resist a good jump and splash each and every time they see a puddle, whether they are wearing the appropriate footwear or not! As Peppa so rightfully says… “If you’re going to jump in muddy puddles, you must wear your boots” and of course she means wellie boots. The wonderful people over at Chipmunk Footwear sent us some of their gorgeous children’s Wellington Boots to put through the muddy puddle test…so we gave it a go!

Obviously the muddy puddle is the ultimate test when it comes to putting a brand new pair of wellies through their paces. As I said, the lovely people over at Chipmunk Footwear, sent us a gorgeous new pair of wellies for Alyssa to go stomping about the world in. When they arrived, I was really pleased with the quality as you could tell right away that they weren’t just going to fall apart or start leaking within five minutes.

They were a gorgeous blue and white nautical stripe with pink trim and also flowers decorating them and one of the best features which I always look for in a wellie when it comes to Alyssa, is that they have handles on the sides of them. My little Miss is super independent and getting more and more so by the minute and because these have handles on it means she can pull them on by herself and be ever so proud as punch.

We took the wellies out with us on a recent day out visit to Farmer Palmers – it had been raining the previous day, it was cold, there was mud, sand, water, grassy banks and playgrounds to explore as well as barns to walk through visiting animals so she really put them through their paces and they were perfect. The wellies were not so clumpy that they stopped her playing and enjoying herself in the playground areas but at the same time, protected her feet from rough, uneven and hard terrains and kept them dry and clean despite her “giant jumps” into muddy puddles… perfect!
