There’s nothing I love more than Christmas and getting to feel all festive. Part of that for sure is curling up under a blanket with some Christmas treats and hot chocolate under a blanket and watching Christmas films. Alyssa is a bit older now and much more willing to sit and watch a film and so I am loving introducing her to some of the classics and ones I watched as a child. However, there are some wonderful newer films too so I was delighted when we were sent The Littlest Reindeer to watch and review.
“Join the adorably ambitious “littlest reindeer”, Elliot, this Christmas as he sets his sights on becoming the newest – and tiniest – member of Santa’s reindeer team! When Blitzen suddenly announces his retirement from the reindeer team, Santa needs to find a replacement, and fast! Against all odds, Elliot and his best friend Hazel set out to prove that he is the little horse for the job. Busy with the North Pole reindeer try-outs, Hazel and Elliot don’t realise that a sinister lady has turned up at the ranch and their friends are in serious danger.
Elliot is forced with the biggest decision of his life: save his friends or follow his dreams and save Christmas! “
This film was a delight from start to finish (and mummy even voice spotted the legend that is John Cleese) and had that real Christmas feel-good movie feeling. There are some real “awww” moments as well as some chuckles too. Needless to say we loved it, but I don’t want to tell you too much as you should really watch it for yourselves and here is how….
