Whilst I love Autumn, when the rain starts to come down and I am tired from running around like a mad woman, I sit day dreaming of wonderful luxury family holidays that we could take if only we had the time and the finances to do so. It has been 4 years since Alyssa and I have been abroad and we have never had a holiday with Mr Tutu – we are okay with this as we have other financial goals we are heading towards but that does not mean I cannot dream of wonderful holidays I’d like for us to experience together.
Disney World
I am not sure if this one is for Alyssa or for myself. Even at the ripe old age of 30-something, I still adore Disney and have loved making Disney memories with Alyssa as she has grown-up who loves it as much as I do. The ultimate dream would be to take her to Disney World before she gets too old and just watch her marvel at the pure magic of it all. We may well not get there before she is a teenager but I still think, if we ever do get there, she’ll appreciate it, no matter what age she is.
Sicily
This one may seem a bit random but actually it is for good reason. I lived in Nicosia, Sicily for 3 wonderful years and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I learnt to speak Italian and enjoy the wonders of this amazing place. I would love to take her there to enjoy the incredible food, culture and amazing beaches and maybe even re-climb Mount Etna which was an amazing experience. I think that whenever I do eventually go back to Sicily, it will feel a bit like going home.
New York
It has always, ALWAYS been on my bucket list to visit New York. I was going to go for my 30th birthday and then I happened to be pregnant with Alyssa and couldn’t go. I would like to go there as a child free adult at some point and do all the tourist things that are so cheesy but so necessary. However, when she is a bit older, I would also love to take Alyssa and go and watch a show on Broadway and take her to Bloomingdales and Macys and all those amazing things.
So, there you have it – my 3 top destinations that I would love to go to for holidays with my family. What’s on your holiday wish list?
