Sail Away with Lily of Driftwood Bay!

Lily’s Driftwood Bay – currently airing daily on Nick Jr, Netflix and Channel 5’s Milkshake! is based around the adventures of Lily;  a six-year-old girl with an imagination big enough to create an entire island! Sweet and charming, but rough and tumble in equal measure, Lily lives an idyllic life with her Dad in their beach hut, where the sand dunes and sea provide the perfect backdrop for her remarkable imagination.  Lily’s life in her Driftwood Bay community is one characterised by love, enthusiasm and constant fun….

If you follow my blog then you will have seen (especially over on Instagram) that the past few months Alyssa has grown so much and is now definitely a fully fledged little person with her own opinions and ideas (which comes with the odd dose of attitude too I might add!) Well, along with this comes her new found love for characters – my little one already has such a big imagination and I imagine that in that ever growing world are some of her favourite characters from children’s television. She still has a huge soft spot for Iggle Piggle and his gang and also loves the music that Doc Mcstuffins and her toys sing, but she is also really enthralled by Lily’s Driftwood Bay – maybe because she hears the name Lily and is looking out for her cousin perhaps?! Or maybe its because of the different type of animation and the lovely characters too!

Imagine my excitement when I found out that Lily’s Driftwood Bay were releasing a new toy range featuring the characters themselves in talking doll form – brilliant!! We were also very fortunate to be asked to try and couple of them and so arrived Lily with her friend Salty the Dog – Captain of the Delilah!

I think both dolls are a fantastic size and perfect for little ones (they are suitable for 10 months plus) as they are light and not too bulky meaning that little hands can hold them quite easily. They also do not take too much pressing in order to get the sounds from them – which sound exactly like the characters from the program… perfect! Alyssa laughs when Salty starts talking in his Scottish accent and we are now practicing our “WOOF WOOF” so we can be doggies! We have also found out that there is a “Posing Lily” available too and she come’s with her best friend Gull so that is definitely going on our Christmas List (they’re all available exclusively from Argos!!)

Thanks so much to Golden Bear for sending us Lily and Salty to play with – we’re off now to create some more adventures of our own!
