What Shall I Wear?!
Even before entering mummydom I did not know what to wear - I have always been a terrible clothes picker and regularly changed my personal style from hippy-not-so-chic to gothic to blend in to stand out never really settling on anything. Now, I don't know if you have noticed but #BML16 is vast approaching... in fact it's here! This set me up with a huge dilemma... I have not taken a step out of leggings for nearly two years, so what the hell do I wear for the blogging evening of the season?!?
I know that there is absolutely no point in looking in my wardrobe for something "nice" to wear because all those clothes either don't fit or are no longer nice which means that I need to BUY something NEW! Umm... I may have forgotten how to shop for myself! I mean, let me loose to shop for Alyssa and I have nooooo problem whatsoever. However, ask me to choose clothes for myself and it will be leggings a baggy top or a... I really don't need anything actually and a swift move to the children's department. However, this time I need to bite the bullet and actually get myself something. Then comes the question, well how am I going to afford to do that?!?
I came across this amazing website called...LOVE THE SALES (how did you guess?!?) which literally is a collection of all the sales they can find from over 500 UK Retailers... oh dear I feel my plastic is going to take a battering don't you?!
On a quick initial glance they had one of my favourite brands having a sale... Dorothy Perkins! I love this brand because they cater for some of us curvier women too which is a huge bonus for me! Because I am intending to go to both the cocktail evening event and the day conference I had a huge excuse to shop even more and buy 2 outfits!!
You know what sales are like, they mark stuff down and that's what you'd expect to pay at the normal price, not the sale price right?! I was concerned that even with the sales I wouldn't be able to afford two outfits. However, I needn't have worried as some outfits had as much as 60% percent off and I even found one dress for only £7.00 which of course even I could afford!
If of course, like me, you cannot resist even when online shopping having a sneaky peek for your little cuties there is loads on there for them too! I headed over to none other than the Boden sale to check out what they had for Alyssa... well she's travelling to London too so surely she needs an outfit doesn't she?!?
So, whether it is for a special occasion or "just cos" you definitely need to head over to LOVE THE SALES and grab yourself an absolute bargain... if you're buying for the kids, make sure you treat yourself too. I wonder if they do these in my size...
