How to: Christmas Presents

I was on the hunt for low budget (sounds harsh saying cheap but yes cheap!!) but meaningful presents for Alyssa to give relatives; it gets blimmin expensive when you have to include all the aunties, uncles and grandparents. Even if I wouldn't give them a gift personally, I think that Alyssa should as they are her family. Whilst, visiting the range, a sudden bolt of lightning hit a cog in my head (I knnow it hurt as well!) and I thought what about a personalised frame from her. I am a bit snap happy with the camera (as can be seen on my twitter, facebook, instagram and general social media life) so I have loads of pictures of her both amateur (me) and professional (KW Photography - Karen is a complete legend of a photographer) and so why not take some of these and give them as gifts inside personal frames.

I bought some white frames (you could buy coloured but for me this was like starting with a blank canvas) then things such as sequins, permanent markers buttons, letter beads, stickers and a decent glue to stick it all down with. I am not overly artistic, I just had rare moments, but this is supposed to be from Alyssa (even though she's making me do all the work the slave driver) and so whilst I want it to look nice, it doesn't have to be perfect.

Once each photo frame is complete, I popped in a photo of Alyssa. It doesn't have to be a professional one, it could be really goofy (she has a lot of those believe me) it's whatever you feel like. If you don't have any printed try using snapfish to print them really cheaply, quickly and in a variety of sizes!

I decorated each one (some to within an inch of their lives and some more modestly) and tried to make them personal to each person by adding words and names. Once completed I wrapped them up carefully and tied a tag to each!

Unfortunately, due to the supportiveness of my family reading my blog posts (rude of them I know!!) you will have to wait until after Christmas to see what my results are, as I would not want to ruin it for them... so tune in Dec 26th to get a look at my handy work!
