Apart from when I was pregnant I have never felt particularly comfortable in my own skin, always feeling like there was something about my body that I wanted to fix. I still feel that way and once I have sorted my health out (and gotten some much needed sleep!!!!) I will definitely be getting on this. However, never being particularly happy with the way you look makes it really difficult to go shopping because you can never find things you’re completely happy with – and yet I LOVE shopping so this is a big dilemma! I have learnt that there are a few things I can rely on when shopping to ensure that I have a great time – shoes and bags!! I love them because no matter what size you are or how much weight you lose and gain it doesn’t matter because they will always fit!!
When the lovely people at LALI HANDMADE offered to send me a set of their gorgeous bags… how could I refuse?! I chose this wonderful white background with bright orange cat-print because I love bright colours especially when I often wear black so it can often liven up my outfit when my accessories are in bold colours. I was very fortunate to be sent the whole collection which consisted of: A Large Shopping Bag, A Medium Sized Lunch Bag and a Diary Case/Cover. They arrived beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and encased in a LALI HANDMADE Paper shopping bag – it was like opening a birthday present!
The Shopping Bag is amazing – it is lovely and big and to be fair if she wasn’t so heavy I could quite easily fit Alyssa in there and carry her around!! I love big shopping bags – what is the point of having a small one?!? The fabric is nice and soft and yet the handles are super strong and just the right length to go over your shoulder… and there is a little pocket inside to pop in all the important things I might need to find fast… like my phone(eekk guilty I know I can’t put it down!!) The lining on all the products is in a matt black fabric which compliments the bright orange and white beautifully!
The Lunch Bag is absolutely fantastic – Alyssa has a little insulated lunchbox that I always pack when we go out with all sorts of little bits and pieces for her but I never ever put anything in for myself. This bag will definitely encourage me to do so and has a great little drawstring top to seal it up and keep everything in there. However, I would also be tempted to just use it as a smaller handbag as it would be perfect if I ever happen to make it out of the house WITHOUT my baby girl and need something smaller than a tank to take out with me. It has lovely little handles to slip my hand through and the bag could sit quite happily on my arm – awesome!
Finally there is the Diary Cover – now this totally appealed to me and my absolute love of stationary! I had the very notebook in mind and as soon as the cover arrived I slipped it on… perfect fit! I did wonder if it might be a bit of pot luck so I did try it on a few different notepads and diaries (because of course I have quite a few) and it fit all of them! So from what I can see is that it will fit any standard A5 sized diary or notebook which is great because it will mean I can use it again and again when I change notebooks when I buy a new favourite one… this happens quite regularly!
All in all I absolutely loved the set and can’t wait to take it all out together and know that I am all matching – maybe pop to Costa with my laptop and work or the park with Alyssa…All I need now is some bright orange shoes and I will be ready to go!
