When it comes to accessories I honestly don’t wear very many – I used to be all about the rings. earrings, necklaces etc. but with a toddler who grabs at anything and also thinks that anything shiny belongs to her, I have been reluctant to wear too much for fear of it being forcibly ripped from my body or swallowed by said child. However, I do on the very odd occasion require require some, so I always try and keep it simple with a statement piece. Kerrie Davis Jewellery got in touch and asked if I’d be interested in trying out some of their statement pieces and honestly I wasn’t disappointed…

I have to say that Kerrie Davis Jewellery is pretty unusual and unlike things I have seen before. It is all lovingly hand-crafted and unique in it’s design – no two pieces will ever be the same….except matching earrings of course! What makes them really different is the fact they are all made using a technique called wire-wrapping. Copper and Silver wire, depending on your preference, is wound, threaded, twisted and bound to form some of the most beautiful jewellery I have ever seen.

As well as being incredible shapes, most pieces incorporate precious and semi-precious gems, beads or crystals within them and often look like they are either floating mid air or that they came from the ground already encased by the wiring.

Now I wear A LOT of black so a statement necklace in a bright colour was always going to be a good idea for me. This blue agate gemstone with woven copper collar just seemed amazing to me. Look at the detail in the braiding – it’s incredible, and I found the stone just mesmerizing.

It was really comfortable to wear as I did think that it might possibly be a little scratchy but not at all and it didn’t feel heavy either. I wore it for a business meeting but I would have been just as happy wearing it for drinks out with friends or too smarten up a very casual outfit. A very diverse piece.

Earrings are difficult for me thanks to having a small child as I said but I often wear my hair up and feel like my top half can look a little bare. So I opted for this beautiful hair pin because why shouldn’t my locks look good right?! I popped my hair up and slid a couple of these in at the sides and the small pops of blue really stood out!

Things like these hair pins, which come in all colours, shapes and sizes, are great for pinning up hair everyday or I can imagine having some gorgeous silver and crystal ones in my hair when getting married or going to a prom – beautiful.

Honestly, I could have shopped for hours and spent a fortune but it would have been worth every penny – blown away!
