I’m A Blogging Success Because… Week #19

Success comes in all shapes and sizes doesn’t it? It can be an award you’ve waited your whole life to get. It could be recognition for something or from someone that matters. Or it could be something as small as your child saying I love you. We don’t celebrate success, in whatever form enough in my opinion and over the past few weeks and months with the madness that is blogging awards and particularity in the past week with my fight to get blogging seen as a real job, I have come to realise that everyone is a success in their own right. So, we find ourselves here and with me opening up the doors to Mummy in a Tutu for the first time to a guest post series. This series is here for any and all bloggers to talk about success; their success or the success of someone else that they want to recognise. Welcome to I’m a blogging success because… Let’s hand over to Rhianna from Rhianna Elizabeth Blog!

I am a blogging success because I have been able to help those around me.

Why did I begin blogging? I began blogging as I felt lost and isolated, due to my own personal mental health issues. I guess I visualise blogging in my spare time as a type of therapy, not only for myself, but to others who need advice or just need to feel ta woman holding her head blurredhat they are not alone in the issues they may be facing in their own lives. My blog is mainly based around mental health, but I also incorporate film and book reviews, as well as my own general life experiences and aspirations, which I find helps me to make sense of a large amount of jumbled thoughts that swirl around in my mind.

I began blogging in August after a large mental health breakdown in July as I was sick and tired of being dragged down by anxiety and depression. It has been truly amazing how many people I have had message me and follow my blog over the past few months, commenting on how I inspire them and have helped them personally. That has been my main goal for my blog. To be able to help people and give them hope that things will not always appear dark and intimidating.

I would also say I am a blogging success because I make sure that I stick to my passions when blogging and embed them in my writing. Of course, mental health is one of my passions, but another passion of mine is English Literature. (I will be starting an English Literature degree in September, which I then want to use to become an English teacher). As an 18 year old Sixth Form student, I am very proud of everything I have achieved, especially academically and my goals of living a life of helping others. I believe that blogging has enabled me to learn who I am and how I want to make the most of life. I know that I will always have to battle my mental health disorders, but I also know that it does not define me and that I can use it to my advantage. I have so much appreciation for everyone who follows my blog and believes in me for making my blog a success; something which I hope will only get better over time. Never lose hope in yourself and always remember to do the things you love- That is key to becoming a blogging success!

I wrote a post this week for children’s mental health week as it’s so important to make people aware. But I also hoped to touch anyone who is also going through similar issues with their child.
