I’m A Blogging Success Because… Week #17

Success comes in all shapes and sizes doesn’t it? It can be an award you’ve waited your whole life to get. It could be recognition for something or from someone that matters. Or it could be something as small as your child saying I love you. We don’t celebrate success, in whatever form enough in my opinion and over the past few weeks and months with the madness that is blogging awards and particularity in the past week with my fight to get blogging seen as a real job, I have come to realise that everyone is a success in their own right. So, we find ourselves here and with me opening up the doors to Mummy in a Tutu for the first time to a guest post series. This series is here for any and all bloggers to talk about success; their success or the success of someone else that they want to recognise. Welcome to I’m a blogging success because… Let’s hand over to Jonathan from The Money Shed!

Success as they say, doesn’t come easy and for me Success is all about the number 3 and that’s because I believe I’ve managed to achieve success in 3 different areas thanks to my website!

3 years (and a bit ago) I started The Money Shed. My aim at the time was to basically create a platform for people to use who were looking to find ways of earning money from home that didn’t involve doing mind-numbing surveys or annoying their friends on Facebook by trying to flog them makeup they didn’t want. I wanted the whole thing to be very accessible so that people could come to The Money Shed with simply an idea how how much extra they wanted to earn from home and my site would provide them with everything they needed to know in order to achieve that.

Success for ours Readers / Users

As the years went on our community of UK only folk grew and we currently have over 3200 users and over 85,000 posts! All from people helping each out and earning more money from home via whatever method works for them! People on TMS tend to earn in the high hundreds and early thousands each month purely ONLINE.  People come to use usually in dire financial straights just wanting a way to earn more mcomputer with a coffee in front of it and a piece of paperoney to make a better life for themselves or their family and that is what TMS provides!

Success for the site

In terms of success I would say the turning point was after a few months when companies who offer ‘earning online’ type opportunities starting to contact me and wanted to use The Money Shed as a sort of middle man in terms of offering work to people. So I had the likes of Field Agent / Task360 / RedWigWam / StreetBees / Pickle etc all working with me and offering some great high paying work that anyone could grab and do from home.

The Money Shed has also been featured in the likes of The Sun and the Daily Mail so we are really starting to reach a wide audience and helping people outside the ‘Stay at home Parents’, ‘ Students’ and ‘Early Retired’ demographics which is fantastic! The more people we can help the better!!a desk with a computer and speakers on it all white

Success for myself

I won’t lie, I earn a tidy amount of The Money Shed. Over £2500 a month in fact from Sponsored Posts and Affiliate Links which is great as it’s allowed me to reduce my working hours in my main job as I just don’t need to work 5 days a week anymore. It’s paid for holidays to Florida, new cars, home improvements and much more. It all just shows that if you work hard at your blog and are very focused about what you are doing with a clear goal you can achieve fantastic things so that no only you can have success but also those that use your site!

Wow – that is success – but I am sure it took a lot of hard work. I often come across bloggers who think they just have to write a few words, add a nice photo and the money and offers will just flood through the door!

One of The Money Shed’s biggest points is the sheer number of people that we can help with improving their financial situation
