Fly Away with Angel & Rocket

One of my favourite things in the world to do is shop for clothes – not for me though, for Alyssa! I mean kids clothes are so gorgeous and I won’t have an absolute meltdown because they don’t have size “extra fat” in stock and I don’t need to do battle in the changing rooms either. I probably knows what looks good and fits well on my daughter better than I do my own body and I always feel a huge sense of pride when I think she is looking gorgeous. Recently, new brand on the block Angel & Rocket got in touch and asked if we’d like to try one of their gorgeous children’s outfits. Add in the fact that they are a British brand focusing on quality and detail as well as being on trend and how could I say no?! They sent us their Arla Floral Sweater and Jogger set for review and here is what we thought…

First of all, it arrived beautifully which I think is a huge plus with any brand because if something doesn’t look good in it’s packaging it doesn’t bode well for what’s inside – However, this came beautifully wrapped in tissue paper. Now, firstly let me say I was a little reluctant to receive a “jogger” set as I am not a huge fan of them even for kids as for me they are a kind of “slobbing around” type of outfit – well at least mine are when teamed with a hoodie! alyssa on a path smiling at the camera zoomed in to just an upper body shot wearing the floral sweater

Well shut my mouth because I will gladly receive any jogger and sweater sets that Angel and Rocket want to send me. Firstly, the material was beautifully soft and surprisingly thick and just screamed quality right from the outset. It was a beige/cream material which was covered in the most beautiful pink/purple flowers. Sometimes floral patterns can be so busy and too much but these flowers were delicately placed throughout the whole outfit and actually looked exquisite.

It was the little details I loved the most – the capped wrists to stop the sleeves falling over little hands when playing near mud, the little alyssa walking along the path looking down at the ground wearing the floral jump suit keyhole back with a singular button making it a much gentler dressing process, the gorgeous satin pleated trim around the bottom of the jumper in the same fabric but with a glossy finish and the capped ankles to stop the bottoms of the trousers getting dirty or torn too. There’s another secret detail, which thanks to my daughter’s boisterousnous I did not manage to capture and that is the satin bow (same material as the pleated trim) that goes around the waist of the joggers – beautiful.

Now the sweater retails for £23.00 and the joggers for £18.00 which actually I think is just about right given the quality and finish of this outfit. I prefer to buy my daughter less items at a higher quality than keep forking out for clothes that are cheap and fall apart in seconds. Yes she has clothes from supermarkets for playing in and getting messy in like any other child but it is nice to have nice clothes and these are way more than nice. By the looks of it, with Angel and Rocket you get what you pay for and this outfit is going to last a long time.
