Finishing a Room with Desenio

Don’t get me wrong, I have always liked things to look nice, but I have never really considered how to decorate or style rooms. Then my thirties hit and I am suddenly watching the likes of Grand Designs, Queer Eye and Interior Design Challenge and wondering if my landlord will let me paint my room grey so I can dust the room with shocks of beautiful yellow – he would but then I’d have to magnolia it before leaving which would be heartbreaking. When it comes to dressing a room, you have to think about the overall colour scheme, the soft furnishings and of course, what is going to go on your walls and whether or not it fits the room. We had one room left in particular that was a simple spare bedroom, looking nice but needed finishing. The walls were blank and needed something to lift them and tie the room together. When Desenio offered to let us review some of their pictures and frames, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to finish the room off.

As I said we had a spare room that looked nice but it needed something on the wall above the bed to finish it off. The room was very much earth tones with a slight hint of red and we wanted to carry on the earth tones and countryside theme through the images we put on the wall.

When we began looking through Desenio Wall Art we saw how many different prints, designs and sizes were available as well as frames and decided to make a collage of different sized frames on the wall.

We probably spent about 2 hours going through all the amazing images and choosing ones that fit our vision and colour palette and then deciding on the sizes, arrangements and frames to go with them. As everything on the site is so clearly labelled with sizes we were able to draw a diagram and also measure the wall to make sure it would all work.

We placed our order and completely our fault, accidentally placed it twice BUT this did mean we were able to try out the returns which was so quick and simple and no hassle at all. I would say it took just over a week for everything to arrive and it was well packaged and protected. It was all really good quality and easy for us to unpack and put together and then hang onto the wall.

We are so pleased with the end results and really feel that it completes the room. In all honesty there are so many prints we could have chosen but the 4 we did look super and really fit in with the room well and are exquisite images.
