#ABloggingGooodTime Week 73

Welcome to #FOODIEFRIDAY Week 55
8th December 2017
I have always believed in and loved the magic of Christmas. As I have grown up I am not sure it has ever dimmed (even when I found out about the Santa himself) in fact I am pretty sure my love for Christmas and all it holds has just kept on and on growing. I have fond childhood memories of my mum making it truly magical for me with Christmas crafts such as making our own chocolate dipped peppermint creams, to threading popcorn for the tree and the day itself as a whole. I’ve always woken early on the day and this has continued into adulthood because  despite knowing what the main room with all the presents looks like before going to bed, I still can’t resist doing what I did from as young as 6 and creeping silently down into the lounge and standing there so still just taking in the whole room in the faded morning light and then creeping back to bed to await everyone else or until I know I am allowed to go around and wake everyone else up. Christmas has always been just one word – Magic! Now I am a mummy I want to ensure my little one will grow up experiencing the magic that I did and still do experience at Christmas. We’ve come such a long way now with technology and communications so this year, on the first year I am truly introducing my little one to the wonder of Santa, I have enlisted the help of PNP – Portable North Pole to help me make my little one as big a believer as me…

You may be asking yourself, well what is Portable North Pole, well allow me to enlighten you. Portable North Pole or PNP is an online service where you can create Christmas videos for your little one. This is what it is in a nutshell but boy oh boy it is so much more! We went for the full experience and we were not disappointed.

A few days ago through the post arrived a parcel for Alyssa and inside was the most gorgeous Baby Elf called a Do-Good Elf ( which you can grab from John Lewis) and it was very different from the mischievous Elf on the Shelf’s you can get. She/He had a big plastic face with huge eyes and a big smile and then a soft body with movable limbs and was dressed in gorgeous cotton and corduroy clothing. With it came a lovely passport and stickers which basically explains that it is a baby Elf that needs to be taught by your child how to do things and get stickers for doing so and your child also gets to name them – we called ours “Elfie” (original I know) and she already feels like a member of the family!

The other thing that arrived with Elfie was a code for Portable North Pole so I could make a personalised Santa Message to Alyssa from Santa and his Elves at the North Pole. All I needed to do was head to the site, sign up and enter my code and I was given access immediately to choose what kind of video I wanted to make and then the personalisation options too.

Once I had completed all the steps I then had to wait for the video to be built – Portable North Pole emailed me a link easily with twenty minutes and then I was ready to show Alyssa. I told her that she had a special message from Santa and the Elves and that we needed to watch it. We grabbed Elfie  and sat down to watch on my laptop (though you could watch on a desktop, phone or tablet.) Here is how my wonderful little toddler reacted….

As you can see from our reaction cam video she was completely awestruck! We have visited Santa already last weekend so she has an idea who he is now and she was so surprised to see him talking to her – especially when he called her by her name! There were little snippets which included the names of her cousins and other family members and she was happiest when she saw her face appear on the screen – I think that was the true wow moment for her.

We have since watched our Portable North Pole video several times and so I now have to have it on my tablet on standby or I’d never get my laptop back. The video truly brought the magic of Christmas to life for my little one and to see her eyes sparkle with delight and wonder was honestly just priceless. I am now also going back into the PNP console to make a special video for her to have on Christmas Eve from Santa! For older children, videos from Santa might encourage them to be good. However, for little ones like mine they simply fuel belief in Magic and that anything is possible and there is nothing wrong with that! I could not recommend these videos more!

If you’d like you own Portable North Pole video click any link to take you there – prices range from £3.99 – £7.99 so in my mind that is a total bargain!

You can also grab a 20% DISCOUNT with my Discount Code: PNP7BLG20

If you’d like the Elf as well then the whole package is available from John Lewis for £20.00
