Why Not for Me – Lingerie Giveaway!

#ABloggingGooodTime Week 57
10th August 2017
It’s been a fortnight now since my little girl turned two and it’s flown by in such a whirl as I swear her birthday has lasted the whole time – which she reminds me of every day by bursting regularly into “Happy Birthday to Me” whilst looking towards the kitchen to see if she can make more cake and candles appear. Very cute but it’s not happening bubba! I took lots of pictures throughout the day but pretty much stayed away from anything  like social media for too long as I was just having so much fun with my little one and it was of course all about her. I did however, film one part of the day that I just thought couldn’t be missed and that was when she woke up and got to see the surprise that was awaiting her…

I first started talking to WinGreen last year when I happened to tweet them telling them what gorgeous  products I thought they had – especially their beautiful fabric playhouses that come with all sorts of beautiful accessories. Fast forward to this year and they asked if Alyssa would like to receive one of the houses with it’s matching floor quilt and cushion – ummmm yeah she would and if she doesn’t I definitely do?!

It arrived a week before hand to give me time to get it all ready and set-up. The playhouse itself came in a beautiful zip-up material bag which can be used for storage and moving it around. A simple instruction sheet made it quick and easy to put the labeled frame together – it was bigger than I imagined it would be and as you’ll see in the video there was plenty of room for my tall two year old to stand up in there. The fabric cover comes folded and I did wonder if I might need to iron it – no such problem. The cover is a tight fit over the frame that you velcro to keep in

place and any creases that didn’t stretch out had dropped out by morning.

I set this all up for my little princess the night before her birthday once she was asleep. Seriously, the whole playhouse took me 10 minutes to put together and was easy as pie. I lay the floor quilt down, popped the cushion in place as well and then popped the house on top in place and then I added a pack of unicorn fairy lights I had grabbed from Primark. I put her wrapped presents on one side and her new Disney Store Anna, Elsa and Doc soft toy dolls (she collects them and almost has them all now) on the other side and surrounded the whole thing with 3 big helium balloons and I was all set.

I have to say I was so excited that the next morning I practically leapt out of bed when I heard her waking, turned on the fairy lights and went to get her. Her reaction? Well see for yourself… (excuse my just woke up singing and the fact she tells me she wants to poo!!)

Her whole birthday was magical from start to finish. She adored her Fairy Cottage – well you saw it stopped her in her tracks! She has played in it every day and uses it as a hiding place when Mummy wants her to get ready, a place to lie down and chill, a secret place to have a dollies tea party and a place to hide and giggle with her cousins Lily and Rowan (yes even 10 year old Rowan was amazed and crawled in!!) The quality of the house and it’s accessories are some of the absolute best I have ever come across. The detail of the appliqued design to the lace curtains with tie backs at the window to the soft squishy floor quilt built for comfort – I seriously wish they did one in my size though I have already attended a tea party in Alyssa’s Fairy Cottage. Thank you WinGreen – it was truly a Fairy Magical Birthday.
