Tutoo Cute For Words…

Something I am starting to notice with my little one is that she already has such a huge imagination. She walks around the house singing and talking to herself and already plays make believe with her kitchen too; sitting there stirring the pot with her wooden spoon amongst other things. Another thing I have found is that for a one year old she is quite head-strong and opinionated (can’t imagine where she get’s that from) about everything that she eats does and even wears. Each day, I hold out a few clothes to the little diva and she picks what she wants to wear for herself. However, sometimes we have a special occasion which she needs to dress up for, but that’s okay because she always picks the biggest, sparkliest outfit going so when we were asked to try the Roco Clothing Occasion wear, I knew Alyssa would have no problem getting on board with it…

The lovely people over at Roco Clothing let us know that we could try out some of their gorgeous occasion wear and with Christmas coming up what better occasion could there be?! We have a Christmas photo shoot booked with Alyssa’s photographer and we will be doing a couple of looks – I think it is so important to have regular photo shoots just to have mementos of watching them grow! SO, when choosing a dress, I was thinking about what would look gorgeous on her and what would also fit her personality too and obviously that meant I had to pick something slightly tutuish!

We chose this gorgeous Baby Girl’s Party Dress in pale blue ( know I am shocked I didn’t choose pink either!!) which I just thought would highlight her eyes and go beautifully with her skin. Basically, the bottom of the skirt is layers of tulle with a cotton underskirt which we found very important as it stopped the tulle/net from itching her little legs. There was a satin style bow round the middle with a diamonte brooch in the middle of the bow and diamontes dotted all over the top of the blue mesh top. It did up via a zip at the back which I have to say was really easy to use which is so important when trying to dress a wriggly baby – she may like wearing clothes but does not enjoy taking them on and off so much!! You know how sometimes zips can get stuck when there is a divide in the top and bottom parts of the dress? Well, we didn’t appear to have a problem with that here and it went on really easily… and oh my goodness how cute did she look!

To go with this dress we were able to choose some gorgeous little Girls Cream Floral Shoes – which again were available in several colours but I thought cream goes with everything right?! Now Alyssa is a weird size because she has quite wide feet like me but doesn’t have the length to match so I asked for some but was a little worried as I was unsure they’d fit. However, I needn’t have worried… I order the size shoe she is and there was plenty of width to them and they slipped on very easily.

They are buckle fastening which is the first pair of buckles we have had and obviously are not as easy to do up as velcro shoes but once on they stayed on and we have no problems. Now that Alyssa is walking, I always want to make sure she has decent shoes to walk in to ensure it is as easy as possible for her to gain confidence in her walking. They were excellent quality shoes and had a strong but soft sole allowing for easy movement.

We were thrilled with the products from Roco Clothing – honestly could not have asked for anything better. I think she looked beautiful and she certainly enjoyed dancing round the garden fluffing her skirt and looking for fairies under the toadstool. What I love is that they have outfits for both boys and girls for weddings, parties or even just lovely dresses for everyday. If you are after something lovely for your little one you should definitely head over and take a look and with Christmas coming up why not grab them something special to wear for the day!

Hi Katie, your little one looks a proper doll in her pretty outfit with her sparkly shoes. A childhood memory that has always stuck with me is having to wear dresses that made me itch (Mum was a seamstress and loved to make our dresses). Adding a cotton underskirt to the dress is an excellent idea from the company.
