Slimming World Decadent Half Syn Dessert!

Generally when I am on a diet I don’t tend to get sweet cravings as I am generally more of a savoury person (though don’t get me wrong I can stuff chocolate in as much as the next fat person!) so I normally tend to miss crisps and cheese more than I miss ice-cream and sweets. However, it will get to a point during the diet and I’ll be like oooo I really want something sweet or I’ll even just want something to snack on that’s sweet and again it’s not like I can go and grab a Mr. Kipling now  is it?! I tried out a few recipes from the Slimming World Website and then when visiting my cousin she told me about a recipe that worked for her so I totally nabbed it for the blog because when I tried it at home it was brilliant! The good thing about these is that they only take 5 minutes to put together and you can make enough in one session for a whole week if you’re satisfied with one a day, but at only HALF A SYN each, you could technically have almost as many as you’d like!

4 glass jars with yellow coloured pudding inside with raspberries buried inside

Ingredients (makes 4):

Summer Berry Flavour:

1 Sachet of Hartley’s Sugar Free Jelly Crystals Strawberry or Raspberry Flavoura white table with a grey marble chopping board on and an array of fruit with a knife as well

2 Syn Free Yogurts (Click Here for a full list of Syn Free Yogurts)

A Bag of Mixed Frozen Red Fruits/Summer Berries

Tropical Flavour:

1 Sachet of Hartley’s Sugar Free Jelly Crystals Lemon & Lime Flavour

2 Syn Free Yogurts (Click Here for a full list of Syn Free Yogurts)

A Bag of Mixed Frozen Tropical Fruit

Method:

  1. For this you either want glass ramekins or perhaps plastic disposable cups (which I used for easy storage. Lay them out on a tray ready.
  2. Make up the jelly to the instructions but only do with half the amount of hot water and make the rest with cold water.
  3. Empty the two yogurts into the jelly and mix well until they have full combined. Pour this mixture into the pots – about half fill each one and you should have a little mix left over.
  4. Next distribute the frozen fruit evenly between all the pots and push the fruit down so it fills all the way from the bottom up then pour the remaining mixture over the top to cover. Depending on the size of your pots you may get more than 4 at a time but remember it is half a syn when making 4..
  5. Next pop the tray of pots in the fridge and leave for a minimum of two hours and then take one out and dive on in. If you want to be a little bit naughty you could always put a little bit of light squirty cream on top or even some chocolate shavings but remember to syn them! You can either eat them straight from the pot or turn them out and add some fresh fruit too.

3 pink desserts turned out on a plate with fresh strawberry slices on top

These really are a delicious dessert and I usually double the recipe or make one of each flavour so that I have enough to last the week. I think you only need small pots because otherwise the sweet hit can be a bit overwhelming and it’s better in my mind to have smaller ones and be able to have a second one if you really fancy it than a bigger one and end up wasting some and throwing it away so mine does usually go a little further into five pots. These will keep in the fridge (when covered) for up to a week. DON’T panic if there is a little discolouring as this will just be juice from the frozen fruit spreading.

Enjoy – and if you really liked it don’t forget to PIN IT!
