Meet: Single Mum Speaks

Hello!

I’m Min, a 35 year old single mother by choice.  That means I gave up on Living The Dream, a.k.a. getting married and having 2.4 children, and instead embarked on the expensive process of getting myself knocked up via sperm donor.  Consequently, I now have a 19 month old son and even less chance of meeting the man of my dreams than I did previously.  I blog about my unconventional journey to parenthood, the shoes I used to wear before I became a mother and full time wearer of practical footwear, and my increasingly desperate attempts to retain the Public Badge of Good Motherhood in the face of economic ruin and the constant low-level criticism of my mother.

In Real Life I’m also a full time teacher and have been blogging, on and off, since the Middle Ages when I was known as Lady Dial-Up, keeper of the Queen’s Internets.  Like all bloggers, I like coffee, wine and cake even though I usually prefer to keep that on the down-low and pretend that I am a radical non-follower of the crowd who eats only raw vegan Peruvian goji berries.  My favourite colour is turquoise.
