I’m A Blogging Success Because… Week #25

Success comes in all shapes and sizes doesn’t it? It can be an award you’ve waited your whole life to get. It could be recognition for something or from someone that matters. Or it could be something as small as your child saying I love you. We don’t celebrate success, in whatever form enough in my opinion and over the past few weeks and months with the madness that is blogging awards and particularity in the past week with my fight to get blogging seen as a real job, I have come to realise that everyone is a success in their own right. So, we find ourselves here and with me opening up the doors to Mummy in a Tutu for the first time to a guest post series. This series is here for any and all bloggers to talk about success; their success or the success of someone else that they want to recognise. Welcome to I’m a blogging success because… Let’s hand over to Helena from Queen of Collage!

Mummy in a tutu recently admired my success in climbing a hill with a baby on my front. Now if you’ve ever bee
n out with me you’ll know that I hate hills with a passion. However, I have conquered hills time and time again while out walking and I will I’m sure encounter another one while I’m out and about. How do I do it? Through sheer determination, a will to succeed and encouraging myself bit by bit. I’ll just get to that rock I tell myself, then a little further is a fence post and before you know it ywoman sat typing on a laptpou are up on top of that hill admiring the view below and pleased with your achievement.

The same could be said for blogging. Each day I show up do a little and that builds up. I face my fears head on and build up my knowledge. It gives me huge satisfaction that I’ve achieved something I’d not done before and looking at my blog today I’m rather happy with it.

Ok so I may not be high up in the stats but that’s not why I blog. Ywoman with brown hair holding a cameraes it’s always interesting to see who’s ahead of you rather like the stats in geocaching and see what they’ve done to get where they are now but my why is not necessarily there’s. For me blogging has always been about keeping a memory of my daughters for them to look back upon when they are older and sharing it with my family who are spread throughout the world. This is what I am successful for and the linky’s keep me accountable.

I also like to use my own photos instead of resorting to other people’s stock photos. I’ll be the first to admit that my photography could do with practicing but we all have to start somewhere right?  As for my writing I think I have a tendency to string two sentences together to make one. Ah well I’m uniquely me and I can be the only one who can be successful at being me yes?

The final sentence for me is perfection – “Ah well I’m uniquely me and I can be the only one who can be successful at being me yes?”. Sums it up totally.

Just fantastic and will really stay with me – I love this approach! More people need to focus on themselves instead of worrying about what others are doing – wonderful wisdom my lovely x #ablogginggoodtime
