Highlights of the Week: #4

So despite having the most horrendous flu/cold/germ infested thing raging through my body this week, I have powered through (begrudgingly at times I might add) and had a few good moments this week it has to be said.

1. Online – Linkies! I joined (yet) another link up this week #pointshoot which is hosted by@youbabymemummy and @snowingindoors This is a great place to go and share your fave picture from the week and you can attach an article too if you like. Lovely to be joining another community of bloggers and checking out everyone else’s snaps!

2. Offline – Good mummy! Even though I have felt like utter shite this week, I had a full on “Halo” moment when I looked round the kitchen to discover that I had batch cooked a nice load of organic healthy fruit and veg for my little bubba! Veg was courtesy of Abel & Cole and my energy was courtesy of paracetemol and ibuprofen… winner!

3. Online – Finally Posted! I felt rather brave this week online for two reasons. 1) I posted unedited pictures of my body for the world to hold me accountable in my post called “I am Fat!” I am not proud of what I look like but I am proud that I am willing to change. 2) I finally posted my deep hidden worries about my gorgeous bubba in “Please Don’t Take My Baby!”Post Traumatic Stress is horrible but I have breathed almost a sigh of relief at finally being able to talk about it.

4. Offline – Splish Splash! Part of my getting fit and healthy involves mental health as well. A big step to being happier is getting back out there in the world I think and seeing friends and making new ones. Therefore, I have signed Alyssa and I up to a term of mummy and baby swim sessions. Good for my healthy living and excellent for her because she loves the water; plus quality time together!

5.  Online – Blognix! I joined my first live chat this week with @Blognix and it’s bloggers; Topic of Personal Development and Blogging. It was really interesting to see people’s differing views and opinions and to be honest it was lovely to have adult conversation. Met a lot of lovely bloggers who are now supporters – can’t wait to try and attend Blognix Weekend in 2017 when bubba is a bit older!

6. Offline – Diet! I am actually really glad that I started my diet this week and not felt too down about it. I have been very good following “rules” from a particular slimming plan and have managed to incorporate treats into this too – even managed to have a little bit of pizza for a birthday meal with family…. fingers crossed for the scales this coming week!

7.  Online – Humility. I have had to eat a bit of humble pie online this week. I was using a posting platform to go across all my social networks and there were so many glitches that I up and cancelled my account and moved to another platform (did this via email communication with said glitchy company!) However, less than twelve hours later, tail between legs, I was re-emailing them asking to have my account reactivated… lesson learned “The grass isn’t always greener!” This is a highlight, because I think sometimes we all need to learn a bit of humility (and yummm pieeee……mmmm **please ignore drool on keyboard!**)

8. Offline – Sitting up!! One major highlight of this week, is that my little bubba who I swear I only brought home from hospital yesterday has started sitting up by herself!! We are still a bit wobbly and when she gets too excited the cushion behind her on the floor is a must… but we have a sitting bubba!! ———>Proud Mummy right here!

9. Online – IG Happy! I have spent a lot of time this week getting to grips with Instagram and I think I may have actually fallen in love with it. It’s so simple and yet amazing; I love being nosy and checking out everyone’s photos and I love joining in with @youbabymemummyand@mrandmrstplus3 with their #littlefierceones link up over there. You should come join me on IG and we can be buddies!!! Just click here.

10. Offline – Snappy Happy! Because my darling daughter has decided she can now sit up, I have been able to book her next photo session in with the amazing Karen over atKWPhotography. Remember all those amazing photos of Alyssa that I continually post (the obviously professional ones!!?!) Well those were all by Karen and we can’t wait to head on back there at the end of January!!

So that’s been my highlights this week… what’s happened in your world this week?
