For All You Do…. #GiftToFamily

Do you have someone in your life who has done so much for you that you don’t even begin to know how to say thank you? Someone who would do and has done anything and everything for you. Someone for whom the words “thank you” simply are not enough but they never even ask for that. I do and without her I can honestly say I don’t know where I would be. Generally I have been a pretty good daughter but I have definitely had my moments and this wonderful woman has never let that affect her unconditional love for me and now my daughter too. When I found out I was expecting Alyssa, I needed somewhere to live and she welcomed me back with open arms and helped me prepare for the arrival of my little girl. She was there when I gave birth and during every waking moment of two weeks we spent in hospital. We still live together even now and she is there for Alyssa and I each and every day despite having a horrible chronic illness that causes her pain. I am of course talking about…. my mother.

As I have said, I am not sure there will ever be enough words to say thank you to my wonderful mummy for all she has done and all she continues to do for both Alyssa and I and of course everyone else in the family on a daily basis. The best part is that she doesn’t even see or realise it as it is just automatic for her to do what she does and she is a 24/7 listener for any one of us.

Now, I saw an advert a little while back from a PR company called Zeal Buzz who were looking for bloggers to work with on a “gifting” campaign, so as I do, I popped in my details and thought nothing more about it. Well, two weeks ago I had an email asking me to be a part of Saga Equity Release’s #GiftToFamily Campaign. This was the message I got…

“What we’re looking for are bloggers who would like to gift a family member something special, maybe something you’ve been wanting to do for someone for ages but haven’t had the funds or opportunity. The point is that it will be a surprise for someone who really deserves it. Does anyone come to mind??”

Ummmm… well yeah you could say that. So, wonderful people that they are, they organised for me to take my mum on a Christmas shopping spree with Alyssa and I where we would also enjoy a delicious lunch too. Now, being the good blogger that I am, I filmed the whole thing (surprise moment and all) and this is how it went…

As you can see we had an absolutely amazing time and my mum was so surprised!! She absolutely and completely 100% deserved this special treat and I cannot thank Saga and Zeal Buzz enough!
